The golf professionals at Mulligans Golf Academy have really spent a lot of time and energy promoting junior golf in the upper East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia area. I value their opinions and use their resources when searching for talent in this area.
As coaches we look for well-rounded student athletes that have been exposed to all facets of the game on, as well as, off, the course. At Mulligan’s you get just that…from practice, playing, academic counseling, to mentoring, every aspect of becoming an elite player and person is covered. The wealth of experience their team possess is unparalleled.
It seems as though Mulligans Golf Academy have really done their homework concerning junior golf. I would consider Mulligans a valuable resource when recruiting the upper East Tennessee , Southwest Virginia region.
A website such as this would be very beneficial for the junior golfers of the East Tennessee area to have available to them. It would give them much of the valuable information needed to pursue their desire to play college golf.
Euggie Jones is our go to guy for swing instruction. He has a unique ability to make it simple and easy to learn, which makes it easy to replicate. He cares about the kids and genuinely wants them to improve. He is excellent with players of all skill levels. In addition to swing instruction, we have recruited several of his students in the past. For Milligan, it’s Mulligans.
A little over four months ago our son Reagan decided that he wanted to try golf. Having no experience ourselves we turned to the professionals at Mulligan’s Golf Academy. He participated in their Winter Club and that was enough to get him hooked. While he enjoyed working with all of the instructors he really connected with Justin Harvey and is now receiving individual lessons from him. Two weeks ago we watched a child who had never been on a course before shoot a 65 for his first 9 hole round, what made it even better was seeing the smile on his face when he was done. Not only is he learning the game of golf, he has learned the importance of goal setting and what it takes to accomplish your goals. At their first lesson they sat down and wrote out some goals, and Reagan set some big goals. Since that time we have seen his grades improve and he has developed a very good work ethic. With his hard work and the instruction that he is receiving from Mulligan’s we feel that he can achieve any and all goals that he has set or will set for himself.
Euggie Jones has played an important role in both of my daughter’s lives as a golf coach and a mentor. He has taught them not only the fundamentals, mechanics, and skills to play the game of golf but more importantly the essence of integrity, character, honesty and respect to be successful in all aspects of their lives. Euggie inspires his students by teaching real life lessons and instills confidence through example. He took the time to learn their weaknesses and strengths to determine the best coaching strategy that benefited each of them. It is wonderful as a parent to see a coach provide encouragement to your child by focusing on the positive aspects of their game as well as pointing out areas for improvement, and ALWAYS striving to promote a positive attitude, no matter what the circumstance or score. Because of Euggie’s teaching and support, our oldest daughter was offered scholarships to play college golf, and our youngest daughter is currently meeting with golf coaches and has multiple, promising opportunities. We feel very blessed that Euggie has been a part of all our lives and are confident that no matter where life leads each of our daughters, Euggie’s influence has been vital to their success.
Euggie Jones has been both of my son’s golf instructor for about 2 years now. He has not only helped their golf game, but has been a huge source of support and encouragement. He has always been there to answer any questions they have had or just when they need to talk. I truly believe that Euggie does what he does, not for the money, but for the opportunity to touch so many lives. He has donated his time to work with their school teams, whether or not the golfers were students of his. Not many people would do that. His advice and instruction has helped my boys set and reach goals. My oldest son has recently accepted a scholarship to play college golf and I know without Euggie’s support and encouragement, that goal would have been harder to reach. I look forward to what the future holds for my sons. I know that Euggie will continue to be a big part of their lives. I would like to thank Euggie for all that he does. Not only for my sons, but all the golfers that he has come in contact with. He truly is a good man.
Euggies experience playing the game of golf and raising his own children, I believe has helped him to connect with young golfers. He knows how to reach children and comunicate in ways that really boost their confidence. Eugie caddied for our son James during a USGA Junior Amateur Qualifier and his relaxed attitude helped James to qualify for the tournament in Truckee California. Golf instruction goes beyond the swing and Euggie helps young athletes to learn about the whole game and find their inner strengths.
My son has been coming to Euggie for about a year now, but Euggie has been helping him much longer than that. You see, Euggie is truly one of those “Good Guys” who I truly believe doesn’t do this for the money – his rates are way under-priced (but don’t tell him that) – and he looks to help any junior golfer whether he is being paid or not. My son’s golf game is steadily improving. I never thought it possible someone Jake’s size could hit the ball so far, but what I appreciate the most is how Euggie is teaching him. This is a positive environment where the game is taught emphasizing the principles and applications to life – honor, integrity, discipline, determination, dedication. Euggie is a positive role model who I trust to help my son become the best golfer he can be, and to help him become the man he should be. I highly recommend Euggie Jones.
Congratulations to all the players below who worked hard and made it their goal to stay dedicated and never give up. It is your determination, your efforts and ability to play the game of golf that did it.
